The Radiant Ink Fest: Meet the Judges

 The pacesetters have communicated radiance through their Ink. And now, it is time for these words to pass through the test. 

The Radiant Ink Fest writing contest began on Wednesday, the 19th of July, 2023, running till Tuesday, the 8th of August, 2023. During the submission timeline, Firstlight had received several amazing entries. With the submission timeline expired, the Firstlight team hereby introduces the judges for the Radiant Ink Fest:


Hon. Justice Kunam Isemin(JCA, OOL) is a guru in the creative writing and digital space, as well as a primary contributor to the LAWSAN community. 


Prior to his appointment as a Justice of the LAWSAN Court of Appeal, he served the Justice Udo Udoma Chambers as the 9th Editor-in-Chief. Under his leadership, the Justice Udo Udoma Chambers had their novel games night sessions, a facelift of the First Light publications, intra chambers writing challenge, etc.


He also served as an Editor in the Federation of African Law Students Association (FALAS) Editorial Board as well as many other platforms.


Also, as part of his contribution to the development of LAWSAN, he served as the Chairman, Committee on Information, in the 21st LAWSAN House of Assembly with lots of projects to his name and a honourary mention as part of those who contributed immensely to the Amendment process of the LAWSAN Constitution.


He is a two-time nominee for the Pace Awards and Dinner Writer of the Year category, as well as a nominee for the Legislator of the Year Award.


Beyond Law, he's also a  serial entrepreneur, a major contributor in the digital marketing world, taking keen interest in Affiliate Marketing, Amazon KDP and Ghostwriting, Graphics Design etc with a readiness to train as well as recommend credible digital courses to as many as would want to arm themselves with such high income skills as those.


He will be serving as the Head Judge for the Radiant Ink Fest.


Esther Ukpong is a shining Intermediate pacesetter, popular for her contributions towards the Justice Udo Udoma Chambers and the LAWSAN community. She serves as the current Head, Section of Humanitarian Law and Social Justice, Justice Udo Udoma Chambers. 


She has proven her amazing skill set in several contests in LAWSAN. She was a member of the winning team in the Dominis Legem 2.0(2021); following this feat, she maintained her winning streak by emerging victorious in the 2022 CLASFON Moot Competition and Justice Udo Udoma Chamber's Amazon Moot Competition(2022).


Culminating Esther Ukpong's strides, she also serves as the Vice President Elect of LAWSAN, University of Uyo. She is motivated by rays of hope for change.


The beautiful Amazon, Esther Ukpong, will be serving as a Judge for the Radiant Ink Fest. 


Inyeneobong Bassey is an intermediate pacesetter who has contributed immensely to the growth of the chamber and the LAWSAN community. He serves as the Head, Section of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Future of Law, Justice Udo Udoma Chambers. 


He has served the Justice Udo Udoma Chambers as the Class Representative of the 019 Ab Initio Class. Under his leadership, the class emerged as the Class of the Year. He eventually served in the 9th Board of Trustees as the Secretary-General, a great feat for a Sophomore pacesetter.


His laurels germane in this niche includes; Recipient of the Class Representative of the Year Award, bestowed on him in his Ab Initio year. During his Sophomore Class, he also clenched the Writer of the Year Award. He is also a creative & ceremonial writer with various publications and has made massive strides in the tech space. He was an editor and contributor to the National LAWSAN magazine(2021). He also served in Correspondence, the National LAWSAN Editorial Board, and was a pioneer contributor to Firstlight(2020).
